I am excited for 2015. Old man Panoz kept the Deltawing around one year longer to race! They've got actual SPONSORS now! The team has also been hard at work on aero development. And the beauty receives a new livery. (Below) And last, but certainly not least....
Memo. Fucking. Rojas. You know, the guy who's won the 24 Hours of Daytona 3 times.
The newest version of the livery, revealed post-Roar Before 24. I like it, it's colorful and actually makes it seem a bit more agressive. This is from a test at Road Atlanta last week. Maybe testing low-drag set-up?
And here is my favorite, from the Roar Before the 24. Actual sponsors have appeared, thanks to Memo Rojas and his sponsors.
The key to the Deltawing's success this year will simply be reliability. The past two years, the Deltawing has been plagued by gearbox problems. It had gearbox problems in nearly every race for the 2014 season. The car is fast, there is no doubting that. It's just a question of can it STAY fast? The Deltawing will certainly be in top form this year, especially with the addition of Memo Rojas.
Godspeed Deltawing.

Its too bad, the design seems good but the issues have been plaguing it, and they crashed into it as well I think.

The one with the "TV tray" splitter is the high downforce one for the tracks that are more traditional roadcourses.

Ok so now Toyota can see them more clearly before deliberately shunting it off the track...

They were running well at Petite before they had that contact and transmission trouble. Hopefully they can keep their nose clean and get a few podiums this season.
